Artist Statement

My jewelry seeks a balance between a traditional processed based methodology and contemporary conceptual art making.  My work is made by combining found objects with  an array of techniques. From traditional metalsmithing to beading to laser cutting and 3-D Printing. Using an unconventional eccentric eye for aesthetics. I have always had a drive to make art, especially in the craft disciplines. I find my love for jewelry design works well with my hands on approach to art making. I frequently see that my work builds off of itself often improving and evolving from past pieces. My  concepts are often based on personal experiences and struggles. Making the Work relatable while personal. Contemporary yet anchored in traditional craft. Stikingly Unconventional, Functional, and Quirky.
